We forge global research collaborations, bring world-class clinical trials to Australia and give people with brain cancer access to innovative new treatments.

We at Queer Screen believe in the power of storytelling. We want to do more to boost the resilience of LGBTIQ+ filmmakers and help the recovery of queer storytelling to become even bigger and better than before! Queer Screen is a volunteer-run not-for-profit organisation that has been serving the LGBTIQ community for more than 28 years. But we need your help – donations enable us to continue with what we do, which is help keep screens queer!

PetRescue is Australia’s largest pet adoption platform, saving vulnerable lives by connecting thousands of homeless pets with thousands of potential adopters every single day. Bravehearts’ Mission is to prevent child sexual assault and exploitation in our society & its Vision is to make Australia the safest place in the world to raise a child. Bravehearts has been operating since 1997 with its proven range of services and programs relating specifically and holistically to the prevention and early intervention of child sexual assault and exploitation. Approximately 1 in 5 children will experience child sexual assault or exploitation before the age of 18.

The Children’s Cancer Foundation has the vision to see the day when children’s cancer is gone. Driving their determination is knowing that 20 children around Australia are diagnosed with cancer each week.  Three of these children will never become adults. Their funding of clinical research, trials and patient care, is made possible due to the exceptional generosity and donations individuals and organisations alike. Drought Angels is a charity who offer a genuine heartfelt connection to and support of primary producers across Australia, who are impacted by natural disasters such as drought, fire & flood. Drought Angels provides financial assistance, hampers & care packs, and personalized support to thousands of farming families across Australia. Greenfleet is a leading not-for-profit environmental organisation on a mission to protect our climate by restoring our forests. Since 1997, we have planted more than 9.4 million native trees across over 500 biodiverse forests in Australia and New Zealand. Happy Tails Animal Rescue is a Queensland based rescue group dedicated to the rescue and rehoming of dogs and cats. Since 2017, Happy Tails has rescued over 1500 animals from unnecessary euthanasia in pounds across Australia and re-written their lives into a happy tale. Happy Tails also assists pet owners in the community by providing temporary pet foster care for people fleeing domestic violence situations, suffering homelessness or spending extended time in hospital or rehabilitation.

Heart On My Sleeve is a global mental health social movement which helps people rewrite their toxic narratives by learning to love themselves through the power of storytelling. We’re empowering people to drop the facade in order to live & connect more authentically.

ICAN is a coalition of non-governmental organisations in one hundred countries promoting adherence to and implementation of the United Nations Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons, including by Australia. This agreement is the first global treaty to ban nuclear weapons and all activities related to them. It makes nuclear weapons illegal alongside landmines, cluster munitions, chemical and biological weapons. Founded in Melbourne, ICAN was awarded the 2017 Nobel Peace Prize.

Our projects exist to restore, educate, equip, and provide hope to the oppressed, the trafficked, the vulnerable, the impoverished, and the at-risk. Childhood is supposed to be a time for fun, exploration and learning. Yet almost 1 in every 10 children are living in modern slavery. When our founder Leigh Ramsey visited Cambodia she met young children, little girls who were being sold into sex trafficking. She said ‘IT’S NOT OK’. Within a year our SHE Rescue Home opened a safe haven in Cambodia.

Kindness Factory is on a mission to make the world a kinder place. We focus on communities and schools, along with funding valuable research and insights into kindness, collaborating with like-minded people and organisations who share our passion for kindness.

Make-A-Wish® Australia creates life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. We work in partnership with sick kids, their families and medical teams to deliver unforgettable wish experiences – like making unicorns fly, sending kids to the moon and even helping Australia’s youngest cricket captain don the baggy green. We believe wishes complement a child’s medical treatment, with the power to calm, distract and inspire at the time they need it most.

Australia’s leading organisation supporting premature and sick newborns and their families with comprehensive parent to parent support program available from a threatened pregnancy, during the time spent in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) or Special Care Nursery (SCN), the transition to home and beyond. This support also includes the loss of a baby cared for by a NICU/SCN. This program is provided free to Australia’s miracle families and includes play and support groups after discharge.

Pancare Foundation are one of Australia’s leading charities committed to inspiring hope, raising awareness and funding research for pancreatic and upper gastrointestinal cancers. We provide support for people living with cancer and their families from the point of diagnosis through to treatment and beyond. We also fund world-leading research to increase survival and improve treatment options.

The Polished Man Campaign believes in a world where all children can grow up happy and healthy. But the reality right now is very different. One billion children experienced violence in the last year alone – that’s half the world’s children. The campaign encourages everyone to take a stand by painting one nail for the month of October. By representing this harrowing statistic, that one painted nail can a conversation, which raises awareness and funds to ensure no childhood is lost to violence.

Ready Set managed by Wear for Successes is the only gender-neutral organization in Melbourne. We provide interview clothing & coaching services that creates social change by building interpersonal, employability to our communities most vulnerable & disadvantaged by working with over 150 employment partners across Melbourne supporting & empowering people into employment.

RIDBC is Australia’s largest non-government provider of therapy, education, cochlear implant & diagnostic services for people with vision or hearing loss. The services support thousands of adults, children and their families, each year. Services are provided from an extensive number of sites across Australia & through outreach services supporting clients in regional areas. RIDBC is a charity & relies heavily on fundraising & community support to be able to continue to deliver on our mission.

Sheltered by Grace is a homeless shelter that has been operating at Waterford for the past 11 years. We provide 24-hour onsite support for our clients who are single men and women over the age of 25. We currently have 12 single bedrooms on site and are just about to open our new ten bed facility (2 per room) which is specifically for people escaping domestic violence.

State Schools’ Relief is a not-for-profit organisation that improves the lives of tens of thousands of disadvantaged Victorian students each year. In the last year alone, we have assisted over 70,541 students with uniforms, shoes and other essential educational items such as laptops, calculators and stationery packs. We ensure that all students can attend school in warmth and comfort with a greater sense of belonging and improved self-esteem, enhancing educational engagement.

KIDS is on a mission to keep children safe and create a better life for those living with serious trauma, injury and burns. We empower and educate 400,000 preschool-aged children and their families each year on ways to prevent injuries and keep themselves and others safe. KIDS also supports children and young people to cope with the emotional and physical after-effects of living with life-changing injuries and trauma caused by burns, accidents, dog attacks, crime, neglect and abuse.

Very Special Kids cares for children with life-threatening conditions by providing a children’s hospice with 24 respite care and professional family support services for the whole family. The free-of-charge family support services include counselling, advocacy, sibling support, bereavement support, networking and peer activities, trained family volunteers and specialist care at the Very Special Kids Hospice. We support approximately 900 families in Victoria.

Youngcare is fighting for freedom of choice for young people with high care needs and their loved ones. Too many young Australians with high care needs are being left behind in inappropriate housing. These young people deserve the freedom to choose where they live, who they live with and how they live their lives – and it’s up to all of us to make sure that happens.

Since 1953 Diabetes Victoria has been the leading charity working to reduce the impact of diabetes. Our mission is to support, empower and campaign for all Victorians affected by, or at risk of, diabetes. We are committed to helping all people affected by diabetes and searching for a cure. Our work covers type 1, type 2 and gestational diabetes. We rely heavily on the generosity of our community of supporters to help fund our diabetes education, awareness activities and research.

Aussie Helpers is devoted to helping our farmers, farming families and farming communities survive through the tough times so they can thrive in the good. Since 2002, we have supported more than 15,000 Aussie farmers devastated by drought, fires, floods and hardship. We are a not-for-profit charity with the goal of keeping farmers on their land. We provide financial assistance, counselling, educational assistance, livestock feed and essentials like fuel, groceries and medicines.

The Austin Medical Research Foundation (AMRF) was founded in 1970 to support medical research at Austin Health (Heidelberg) Australia. AMRF funding is designed to ensure the best outcome for patients. Support enables established researchers to explore innovative ideas and encourages tomorrow’s future research stars. This type of support has already resulted in many advances in patient care and treatments, including for patients with cancer and those in intensive care.

Cancer Support Angels specialises in assisting people with cancer by way of support groups and financial assistance.

Companion Animal Network Australia comprises six member agencies, each aiming to make the world a better place for pets. Our members provide rescue, shelter, rehoming, foster care, health care and enrichment services to more than 50,000 animals every year. We help our members achieve the highest possible standards and facilitate their collaboration in activities that identify and communicate best welfare practice.

At Guide Dogs Victoria, we provide vital support for Victorians with low vision or blindness. Since 1957, our services have grown far beyond just the dogs themselves to include a wide range of community initiatives, and training and education programs. We work to ensure people with low vision or blindness are active and involved members of the community. We do this by teaching practical skills to help children and adults reach their personal potential.

We believe it all starts at home. At Habitat for Humanity Australia, we believe a stable, secure home creates the foundation for change. A safe home gives people the opportunity to be healthier, happier and more secure, and for children to be better nourished and better educated. We believe building a decent home provides much more than bricks and mortar – it provides real hope for the future.

HeartKids is raising funds to support the fight against one of the leading causes of death in infants in Australia, congenital heart disease (CHD). There is no known cure. Every day 8 babies are born with CHD, sadly 4 young lives are lost each week. HeartKids provides support services to over 64,000 Australian children, teens and adults affected by congenital or acquired heart disease, and their families, to lead the most fulfilling life possible and reach their personal goal.

Humane Research Australia (HRA) is strongly opposed to the use of animals in research and education on both ethical and scientific grounds. HRA advocates for humane and scientifically-valid non animal research methods. Our activities include: Exposing research practices to ensure public scrutiny, Developing resources about the dangers of our reliance on animal-based research data, Providing alternatives to dissection in schools, Implementing advocacy campaigns.

Ipswich Hospital Foundation is the official Hospital Foundation supporting West Moreton Hospital and Health Service and the West Moreton Community. Some of the Foundation’s favorite ways to support the community are through Bike Education workshops; hands-on Kids Kitchen classes; Fit4Life Fitness Activities for all fitness levels; a Wig Library for cancer patients; and sharing messages of hope from the community with Hero-gram. Lung Foundation Australia is the only charity and leading peak body of its kind in Australia that funds life-changing research and delivers support services that give hope to people living with lung disease or lung cancer. Since 1990, we have been working to ensure lung health is a priority for all, from promoting lung health and early diagnosis, advocating for policy change and research investment, raising awareness about lung disease and championing equitable access to treatment and care.

McGrath Breast Care Nurses are needed now more than ever. In Australia, 1 in 7 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer by the age of 85. Your support will help ensure the McGrath Foundation can continue to help families experiencing breast cancer, right across Australia – for free and without a referral.

MND Australia and its members, the State MND Associations, form the only national network focused on improving the lives of all Australians living with motor neurone disease (MND). For over 35 years this national network has empowered Australians living with MND to live better for longer by delivering vital care & support.  The network has enabled better understanding of MND, advocated for improvements in treatment & care & led the way in funding world-class research in the search for a cure.

PANDIS is an environmental health and medical research not for profit investigating cause, correlation, clusters and cascades in chronic disease and cancer. Our personalised medicine model uses world-class technologies, clinicians and scientists to investigate infectious and pathogenic microbial environmental diseases in human health. Our findings will reduce the burden of chronic disease in Australia and keep people safe from pathogenic microbial harm.

ReachOut is the most-accessed online mental health service for young people and their parents in Australia. Our trusted self-help information, peer-support program and referral tools save lives by helping young people be well and stay well. The information we offer parents makes it easier for them to help their teenagers, too.

Our vision: to reduce suffering and safeguard a generation of young people, acting as a positive peer presence to empower them to make positive life choices and become a voice of change within their culture. The aim of our programs is to provide a positive peer presence in alcohol-fuelled environments where young people gather, educate young people on safe partying behaviours, and promote and provide alcohol-free and/or diversionary activities that engage young people in these environments.

Rural Aid is one of Australia’s largest rural charities. Well known for the highly successful ‘Buy a Bale’ campaign, the charity also provides financial assistance, water and counselling to farmers in times of drought, flood or fire. Other initiatives support its vision that farming and rural communities are safeguarded to ensure their sustainability both during and after these natural disasters.

At SHINE for Kids we are passionate about transforming the lives of children and young people who have contact with the criminal justice system. We work together with children, young people and families to strengthen connection to community and family through education, support and mentoring to help them thrive. We are the only national charity working solely to support children and young people with a family member is prison. There are 77,000 children with a parent in prison in Australia.

We are leading the fight to save Australian hearts. The Heart Foundation’s work is purpose-driven, with a focus on stopping Australia’s number one killer: heart disease, which takes 48 lives every day. The Heart Foundation supports over 580,000 Australians living with heart disease today, as well as working tirelessly to prevent and manage heart disease for future generations.
